We've heard you and we agree that Crates shouldn't cost Bacon. I'm going to change that value, and it should populate across the site tonight.

In a while, we'll release another extension that will make regular Crates different from upgradeable Crates, but for now: Have a good time. :)

honestly, I think it's a mistake to make any pre-existing item cost bacon.

When bringing in a "new" (read: premium) currency, it's a smart idea for it to only be spent on "new" (premium, once again) items.

I'm not looking forward to chugging through sponsors offers for herbal viagra or whatever just to be able to afford abundant portals, so I'll probably take the path of least resistance and just not place abundant portals any more. Hence this particular piece of utility has been taken out of the game for me.

while I'm sure a lot of things will change in the rollout from beta to the regular game, reducing the functionality of the game is a really bad idea, especially if a new premium currency for doing... whatever is replacing a currency that was earned by interacting with others.

Thank you merci & dev's for removing bacon cost from crates! This is going to be a painful transition for everyone, but showing us that you are listening and willing to make some reasonable changes will go a long way toward keeping players on-board!
