PRisk is a highly modified game of Risk. There will be six Teams, each
representing one of the Associations. Play will occur following
standard Risk Rules (with some Passive variation :P ).

Special Grand Finale Rules:

1) The Battle will take place over 7 Days. That's right, it's a week long slugfest!

2) The is no difference between points earned by the Team and points earned by the community. They are all equal!

3) Scores are weighted based on statistics from Battle and Daily Usage (it's science!):
x1 - Armorgeddon
x1.25 - Vigilantes
x1.5 - Crate Expectations
x2 - Destroyers
x3 - Light Fighters, Seers

Time Frame: From Friday, October 24 at Noon GMT to Friday, October 31 at Noon GMT

Zous, unfortunately i think I know the answer but will check again.

I am a destroyer but I wanted to play for order in this, do I need to change my association??? and then keep it?? That will be hard...

I should have been more clear, so I'll clear it up now.

1) You can only nominate yourself. If you want someone else to be nominated, talk them into nominating themselves. This is so that I can make sure this person knows what they're getting into.

2) You can only nominate yourself for one Association, so choose who you feel you belong with.

3) If you are not currently the Association you nominate yourself for, that's fine. The Association Rule will only go into affect once the game begins. So yes Salmontickler, if you want to be on the Team, then assuming you get voted in, you'll need to change to that Association before the game begins and hold onto it as best as you can during the game. For you that means no more mining! :P

Or, keep mining and spam the other associations tool.
I assume its fair game to try to subvert the competitions associations during the game? Mine them into being a Bedouin or whatever.

Davidsev, thank you for bringing up another point.

As this game is the first time I've tried something like this, those Rules are more of guidelines which I hope to hammer out. That being said, they're mutable.

If I feel one Association has an unfair advantage due to the Rules, I'll change them to balance things back out. I'd like to say this will be balanced from the start (and many of the Rules above were made to make this more balanced), but I can't foresee everything.

ill nominate myself for destroyer ...but im confused already. i need the bottom line of what to do and when.

To clear up a bit more confusion:

The Election will chose the full Teams, not just the Leaders.
If you do not put your name down as a Nominee, I won't know you'd like to participate.

When the Election occurs, the Team will be made of the Top 5 Vote-Winners.

The Leader of the Team, will be the Top Vote-Winner for the Association.

To put it bluntly, the Elections choose the whole Team.

So one final warning, if you want to be on a Team, then Nominate yourself before the deadline!

I'm in! The leader makes the decisions, what do the other team members do? Just use there tools to gain points for there team, so as to get armies?
I haven't played risk in a while, I'll go look up the real rules, maybe play a few games. But still, Is that all the team does?

The Team part you won't find in Risk, it's for this game only. Basically, the Team's Passive Actions are what contribute most to the Battles. Everyone's Passive Actions will be counted in, but those who are on the Team will have theirs weighted to be much more powerful.

Also, I think the pathmakers have an unfair advantage. Missions are always in abundant supply in a known place, making it very easy to take missions and rack up points.

No unfair advantage, I know where they are too. They will be getting mined to heck.

In order to balance the Rules a little more, and because this isn't something which will be easily changeable midgame:

After surveying a few people and adding in some thoughts on my own, I've decided that certain Associations definitely have an advantage (and others have a definite disadvantage).

Taking this into account, I've decided to weight the Teams. In other words, some Teams will be smaller and some will be larger, but the score the entire Team obtains will count for the same amount in the end. The idea is that a larger Team will have a harder task, but as there are more of them it should even out.

As such, the Team sizes are affected as follows:

Destroyer - 3 Members (1 Leader, 2 Pmoggers)
Seer - 4 Members (1 Leader, 3 Pmoggers)
Vigilante - 5 Members (1 Leader, 4 Pmoggers)
Bedouin - 6 Members (1 Leader, 5 Pmoggers)
Benefactor - 6 Members (1 Leader, 5 Pmoggers)
Pathmaker - 7 Members (1 Leader, 6 Pmoggers)

So that you know how this affects you, here are the current Nominations I've received:

Cant choose destroyer now,
Its difficult for me to maintain benefactorial behavior
rpunkt helps me with bedouin but still dun make the cut

Furthermore, salmontickler helped me a lot and is a good ally. :D There are also very little vigilantes.

Thus, I shall join the vigilantes. I might need a little help on the nicks side though :D
