I went and read the entry about mines it says you can't lay more than 50 mines on a profile and there is no limit on websites but only one will be tripped per access to that URL. Makes sense, but apparently I was St. Nicked outta every orifice or something cause whenever I tried to just leave one lying around it never worked. Finally I went to the profile of the person who has been nickin me and tried to leave them some mines. I wasted some 15 or so mines with the same "Got Nicked" as usual.

When I was down to my last three mines I started getting this "We don't think so" message and was wondering if there is a player limit to laying mines, cause I'm doing these on various websites. I'm on my last mine, cause these messages still consume my mines without placing them on the site.

In summation: WTF, where'd my mines go, and why is PMOG throwing them into oblivion?

There must have been some kinda crazy glitch then cause this person had me nicked quite literally since last week. Every mine I dropped was nicked and wasted. Either that or they just go back and drop nick after nick on a whole list of people at the end of every day. But I know I dropped more than 5 in a day, like I said ~15 on this player alone trying to shake off all the nicks.

Thanks for the info on Safe Pages though, that I must have learned a couple months ago and just forgotten.

Went back with 6 more mines just to check this "5 limit" and all of them were St. Nicked. All got used. But neither my nor the other players "Latest Happenings" included information about the mines or the nicking. Fairly sure they aren't just sitting there nicking me back but they may be. Either way this is confusing as hell and I really need to replace Destroyer if I'm just gonna get Nick bugged the whole time.

latest happenings aren't as up to date as the events page. at least, mine never is.

@rozonkomo, sometimes it's not 5 Nicks. Sometimes it's 6 or 7. It is never any more than that. I know I've blown through 6 Nicks at once and then been free and clear for awhile too, so it's not RT Nicking.

Any more than that, it's someone camping out on your profile. When you trigger a Nick, the person who Nicked you gets a little popup saying that one of their Nicks has just been triggered. If they're online, it's pretty easy to just pop back into your profile and keep Nicking you. That part of it isn't a bug - that's design. :-)

Wow a lot happened since yesterday I see, glad my post at least had crazy fun consequences on those who visit. And thanks for the actually helpful responses. I spend enough time on internet forums to know how rare that can become after a while.

Once I get the DPs to buy more Mines I'll try again but I'm not confident it will be any different. Also, my nor the other player's Latest Happenings, mind you this was ~22 hours ago, include any information about me using 20 or so mines yesterday or any of his Nickings. Now I would understand if say only he could see the Nickings but I still think by now it should show my gratuitous failures to inflict any chaos for a whole day.

The Latest Happenings can take a LONG time to update. Try the Events page right after it happens and see if it shows up.

Cool, gave the events page a shot and it had the attempts I made to mine as well as their counter nicks. 4 Mines all nicked. But at least it's recorded.

Also, this may be related, every time I visit my profile page a friend of mine tries to mine me, I remember when he said he left this mine and he hasn't played in probably a month. Somehow I'm still getting his mine, and somehow he is "covered in St. Nicks" so I can't nick him but his mines keep eating my armor.

This second thing I'm much more sure is a bug since I know my friend, for sure, does not get on my profile everyday and restock it with mines.

You can have up to 50 mines on a profile.
My advise? Crate your DP somewhere, Turn off the armor, and hit refresh 50 times on your profile, see if they clear.
That's just me though. If you feel like becoming a bedoiun go right ahead and use the armor, But like I said, you can have up to fifty mines... so...
