Started a mission... then what? (10 Replies)

So, I just signed up and took a mission - A Pmogeon Preview. I click on "Take This Mission!" and end up at the PMOG Shoppe. But, that's it. Not sure what to do next, and the mission doesn't look credited as complete. I didn't get any indication as to what to do next. I've got the extension installed, and the toolbar is visible at the bottom of the window. This happens on every mission I've tried. What's supposed to happen when I click "Take This Mission!"? Yeah, I'm confused by this too. A little box on the bottom right corner is supposed to pop up. I managed to complete 2 missions, but whenever I try to start a new one, nothing happens. Furthermore, I read that you're supposed to get data points by surfing different websites. I've tested this out with a wide variety of sites and I haven't moved from my current number (and I've waited for the pages to completely finish loading). Replied about 1 year ago | Permalink |

lmorchard - that's odd. I just tested that missions and everything worked fine. As solonoise said, you click a link and then an overlay appears in the bottom right of your browser, with links onwards from that. Could you give me some details on your setup - OS, Firefox version, other extensions installed (we've tested a bunch but there could well be a conflict). Thank you! solonoise - could you do the same please? Also, you don't get data points for every different url, just for each new domain. Surf around a bit more and let me know if you still don't earn any rewards :) Replied about 1 year ago | Permalink |

I'm having the same problem, no overlay appears when I take a mission.

Ah, I see how data points work now. I'm still having that mission problem though. The weird part is that it worked fine for two missions (although I had to go back and click the button a couple of times before the pop up box came up). Windows XP SP 2, FireFox 2.0.0.11

Thanks solonoise, we'll look into this and post and update when we have one - hopefully soon! Replied about 1 year ago | Permalink |

Heya - I'm on OS X Leopard, Firefox 2.0.0.11, and have these extensions running: - Adblock Plus 0.7.5.3
I'll try switching some of those off and see if it remedies the issue as well. Replied about 1 year ago | Permalink |

...maybe this was just fixed, or maybe this is something weird, but I disabled all extensions, restarted Firefox, got the popups. Enabled each extension, one by one, to see if one of them was causing it. All extensions are now enabled, and I still have the popups. I know jack about how these sorts of things work, but maybe it's something to do with pmog wanting to "see" the popups being installed or enabled? Or my husband, who's only vaguely more knowledgeable about such things, suggests that pmog is trying to call a function that's already being used by one of the extensions, disabling gave it access, and now it's playing nice. (Please try not to laugh too hard, I'm not kidding about knowing nothing of such things.) Replied about 1 year ago | Permalink |

...and it's right back to not working. I'm down to just StumbleUpon and Tab Mix Plus as my extensions, have uninstalled and reinstalled the pmog extension a few dozen times. Upgraded when it told me to, then uninstalled that, reinstalled it again. Still nothing. Replied about 1 year ago | Permalink |
