If you've installed the complete 0.5.2 experience, you likely noticed PMOG now has an official built in Chat client. We hope this new feature will allow PMOGers to more easily connect and communicate with one another across the Internet. It will continue to become more and more a part of your every day PMOG experience with more built in PMOG functionality.

Lots of PMOG Players who have never joined us on IRC before (likely due to the requirement of another program, time to figure out IRC, and so forth) are joining us on #PMOG.com, but it's a little quiet in there right now.

What I'm looking for though are a few good souls who will help out in #PMOG.com on PMOG Chat. All I ask of you is when you see someone new or who isn't a "regular" (like you) on #PMOG.com, you give them a shoutout and make them feel welcome on #PMOG.com.

*Additional* I'll go ahead and tag everyone in a day or two "Chat Welcoming Party" and I'll see about getting everyone a nice little bonus of Pings for signing up and helping out.

Dear Burdenday,

I would like to apply for a position of the PMOG Chat Welcoming Party.
With my six months experience on PMOG since when it just come out of Beta, I think I have enough knowledge to guide the shoats and help them in some situations. Even if I am not as knowledgeable on PMOG as the trustees or the Stewards, I'm still sure that the shoats will get the nice information, or they can just chat with me when they are bored.

I've never know those before...

As you know I cannot use the chat option due to proxy problems, but when I login through mibbit I only ever see justinreach.

Just so you know, the channel is

And not just #pmog ;P

We're allowing people to chat on any top level domain on the web, so the new chat client can create rooms on #bbc.co.uk, #wikipedia.org and #cuteoverload.com too :)

As a result of that, #pmog from irc.freenode.net has been renamed #pmog.com on irc.pmog.com. Hopefully that works for you, @riscy, let us know if you run into more problems!

Edit : 6 or 7 people there but very quiet, #pmog is a lot livelier.

Since it seems I can keep connected via my usual IRC client, I'll try to be friendly. I do love getting people interested in the chat...
