I'm just feeling you guys out right now. Don't know how well this would work.
Me and my friends used to play a kind of choose your own adventure over SMS. It was pretty simply. I'd write the start of a story, give them a challenge to overcome, and they'd tell me what they planned. After that, I'd figure out what that did to the story, how it effected them and everyone else involved and then send the second part of the story. Everyone got there own tale, but all of them interacted. Most of the time, eventually, they kinda coalesced. A few people died horrible deaths. It was all good.
I'm thinking the message system on PMOG grants us the ability to do something basically similar.

Would anyone be interested in being part of a massive tale of immense value and wealth? First one I ever ran was survival horror. Many many zombie like events. Kinda entertaining. Short. Easy. That's probably what I'd go for first. Maybe later we can expand. Go bigger, better, more crazy, if it's a success.

What d'ya think? Would anyone want to play?

Although I don't object to late comers... It might be interesting to throw people in half way through... I'll work out details of the tale tonight, and we'll see who lives!

This isn't really a "forum" game, so I'ma leave it here. Anyone objecting message me, I'll switch to games.

Here's the basic idea. I'l start the story here, because we all start in the same place. For the sake of ease, all of you have been moved from your current locations to the city of PMOGTIA. Your houses are the same, but occupied only by yourself. The city has all the usual features of a city, Including masses of people. Most of them are mindless zombies, and we haven't even started the infection yet...

I tend towards randomness. However I will try a little order to all this. I'll write a story section, and offer you a choice. You message me your response, and I'll message you your next section.

Discussion either in this forum or via messages is encouraged. We all know each other. No reason why you wouldn't attempt to call each other, so no reason why you shouldn't talk here either.

The storm outside had started to abate. The whole world appeared to be washed clean. Not that you could see. In the shadow of the storm rode the dusk. It is now pitch black out there, and the lights you turned on inside make it appear darker than it even is.
You're dozing off, sat in front of the tv. For that reason alone you don't notice the knocking until it's been going on for some time. You shake your head to wake up a little and walk over to the door.
The knocking has continued, and by now it's getting fairly frantic. You're feeling a little nervous now. Unsure of whose outside, or why they're knocking in such a panicked manner. You feel the need for a little defense. Just in case.

Look around your house. First choice is what you grab as a possible weapon. Just in case the guy outside is a crazed axe murderer. (Who knocks first. Nothing wrong with being polite!)

Message me your answer. Once I get a response from everyone who posted there desire to join, I'll message the response. In the event that someone hasn't messaged me by the time I get bored of waiting, I'll move on without 'em.
They can catch up later. Possibly with a few limbs missing.

Also, I've got one message response so far, I'm gonna start getting bored around 9 or 10 tomorrow morning. Anyone who hasn't got there response in by then is considered late. Punishment probably means you get some part of your body removed.

So no, well, You COULD but only if you'd already done so for reasons all your own and unrelated to the oncoming apocalypse.

Being a trend spotter, I already saw this day coming.

I have already stocked up on bags and bags of sugar and bottles of tequila. Canned bacon for sustenance.

Weapons will only help against the zombies, what about the starving desperate hoards that are having a sugar fit?

Also, I have procured a large helium tank in case of emergencies. I prefer death on my own terms, and with a giggle.

As for the weapons, I come loaded for bear with a chainsaw and a cat with really sharp claws.

But ok, to keep it simple, I bring my cat to the door.

Think I got everyones message. I'll be posting you all your replies in about 3 hours. Or so. That'll make it about 9, my time...

Okay. Everyone playing should have gotten there update. (message spam for teh win!) Just so you know, I'm keeping track in OO.org and I'm already on page 5. Messages have a character limit, so it's gonna take a few messages to send each section. in the event that you either (a)Did not get your section of the tale or (b)Got something scrambled that made no sense and ruined your entire life. Let me know, I kept copies of what I sent so I can check up and fix everything.

I like using the message system 'cos it keeps everything IN game. But if you REALLY get tired of reading the text in bits, message me your email and I'll oblige. (I know, it'd save me DeeP's, but it just doesn't seem like as much fun for some reason.)

Also, if anyone is interested at the end, We could found a website and publish our own versions of the story. under our own headings. It'd be fun to see what everyone ended up doing. Well. I'll know, but you guys prolly won't... hah.

I like posting our versions of the story. Or how about creating a mission and portals. Story begins. Portal one shows players 3,4 and 7 went this way. Portal two shows players 1,2,5, and 6 went that way.?? I dunno. Just trying to figure out a PMOGeon way to present it.

@CZARCHRON, Not a bad idea. It's totally free form. I'm writing the story as I go along. Nothing planned beyond the basic idea.
Which means I'm kinda excited to see what happens too!

And in regards to posting your answers here, I don't object but it does kinda make it out of character. Plus eventually the questions will get more personalized as you all go off in different directions, meaning the answers may give away things to people who aren't in the same area as you. Like I said though, It doesn't vitally matter, because I'm sure were any of us to BE in this situation we'd be talking to our friends if we could by any means we could. I kinda expect some form of planning to occur at some point.

Also, Although I can't really play since I kinda know all the answers, Were I to do so I would have taken the Katana my buddy keeps in the extra bedroom. Not the best anti monster weapon, but dang.. It's a katana!

I guess there's a "little Samurai" in all of us. ;)
