I always wonder how my gender is perceived online. Even though when given the choice I tend to list female as my gender in profiles, I'm not very femme at all and I've noticed that despite the female designations listed in profiles my lack of obvious femme-ininity seems to lead people to perceive me as male. Fascinating, really.

Actually, All men abide by the rules online. There are no women on the internet. Thus if we assume you're male don't get offended. It's because you're all meant to be. Females don't do internet.

Male here as well, and I'm curious as to why all the 'tough' associations (destroyer, vigilante) are female characters....NOT THAT WOMEN CAN"T BE TOUGH! (Before I get bombarded by tough females) But I was curious....

Male. It would be interesting to see the stats of male/female/age on pmog just out of curiosity.

I know that I am aggressive in online gaming atmospheres because it feels like being online removes that ever-present social expectation of women NOT being aggressive. It's like catharsis. A sort of freedom.

I think you'd get along well with by girlfriend since she is of the same ilk as you. She competitive, aggressive and tough as you describe (you should see her at the poker table!). I'd never question the aforementioned qualities in women, they are quite attractive actually .........................sorry was just day dreaming there, but I was just curious as to why the powers who be in this pmog world made the choice of both of the associations I mentioned, were women characters, and not of either sex. Strictly curious.....I really don't mind running around dropping mines looking like Xena Warrior Princess (when I'm a destroyer that is).
