How to change your avatar.

• If you are using a picture from this thread, start by saving it to your computer.

  Right-click and Save image as...

  and save it to your Desktop or someplace you can easily find it again.

• Go to your Profile page. You can click the icon on your toolbar to get there.

• Click "edit profile" link under your avatar picture.

• Scroll Down to "Change Your Avatar" and click to open and click the "Change your Avatar" link.

• On the Upload an Avatar page, click the "Browse" button

  Select an image on your computer to be uploaded.

• Click the "Create" button.

  After a while it will tell you image successfully uploaded

• Fiddle with the cropping guidelines until you are satisfied with the Crop Preview.

• Click the "Crop" button
  

Your new avatar will probably show up in the forums right away. It may take up to 24 hours to see it on your profile page... be patient.

Create an Avatar for someone else

Netherneters help me out here. Anyone that has some graphical, photoshopping skillz jump in here!

• Create an avatar 175 pixels square.

• Upload it online somewhere like http://thenethernet.wikia.com/

• post a link or show it inline for Shoats to use.
