Ok a newbie shoaty question, but how do I add others as acquaintances....does it involve leveling up or something? Thx.

You just have to go into their porfile and press the button to "add acquatance" or rival or ally.^^

I mean, if I mine an ally, he lose the same dp as a rival? Do any event is different if triggered on a rival versus an ally?

No, ally/rival connections don't affect events like mines or st. nicks - an ally will be affected in exactly the same way that a rival would, if you hit them with a mine or st. nick. Obviously, they will wonder why you're mining them unless you give them an explanation.

What ally/rival connections do do is forge social bonds, and perhaps help you in a time of need. For example, what if you're broke and out of armour, and some rival keeps mining your profile page? That's when you can lean on your allies for support, maybe ask them for some DP or armour, or maybe they'll team up against your rival and mine him back.

I use the ally rival thing for when I have crates I want to use... All my allies get goodies. When I have mines.... All my rivals get goodies. :)

The funny thing is I have only actually added ONE of my rivals. All the rest added themselves. I think I added most of my allies though.

Also if someone really bombs the snot out of my page and I have filled their page up, I will check their ally page to see if any of my other rivals are on it, if they are, they become collateral damage.

One simple modification that maybe can be made is to change the cost of message. 1 dp for ally, 2 for acquaintance, 10 for rivals. This way if someone want to trash talk to a rival, it will cost dp :)

Your English is fine! That was my way of jokingly saying that allies and rivals don't serve much purpose other than keeping track of who is who.
