Mission Description

Cultured pearls have long been considered symbols of wealth and elegance. In olden days, only the noble and the rich owned pearls due to the sheer fact that pearl jewelry was so expensive. The reason behind the prohibitive cost of pearl jewelry back then was that the art of pearl culture and pearl farming was unknown. Jewelers in those times worked with natural pearls, and it took many years to find enough matching pearls for one opera-length necklace. All that changed with the advent of pearl culturing and pearl farming.
