Writing the Perfect Scene
Mission Description
Stories are made up of scenes, but even if you've strung all your scenes together, you might not have a story! How do you mesh the "things happen" part of your story with the "why the reader cares"? You've got character, you've got your world, now it's time to do something with them. Gene Fowler said, "Writing is easy: All you do is sit staring at a blank sheet of paper until drops of blood form on your forehead." Well, here's a bandage. Try not to bleed on the keyboard. EDIT (06/14/08): Apparently some lightposts got shuffled. Fixed.
